This episode is a lot like the Super Dimension Fortress Macross episode Showdown which depicts Zentradi spy Milia attempting to assassinate ace pilot Max Jenius but ends up falling in love with imm in a similar manner to how Harumi was originally sent by the Raalgon to assassinate Tylor, whom they fear as a brilliant captain.
